What is an Open MRI?
An Open MRI uses the same technology as a standard MRI but allows for more space around the patient’s body while they are being scanned. The additional space may help prevent claustrophobia and/or allow larger patients to be scanned. When you call to schedule your appointment, please notify the scheduler if you are interested in being scanned in the open machine.
